The Broad River is a river in the south of the Australian state of Tasmania .

River course

The river has its source in Lake Seal on the western slopes of McAuleys Ridge , a mountain range in the center of Mount Field National Park . From there it flows north through Lake Webster and then north-northeast and flows into the Cluny Lagoon and thus into the Derwent River .
