The Broadcasting Center Europe is a media and broadcasting companies and stations operator based in Luxembourg . It belongs to the RTL Group and looks after the media group's television and radio stations with regard to production technology and broadcasting infrastructure .
history
The BCE was founded in January 2000 and united individual service providers from the RTL Group .
In 2016, the BCE opened its own earth station (also called teleport ) in Junglinster and now has global accessibility and transmission.
At the beginning of 2019, the BCE took over the production company Freecaster, a Western European provider of broadcasting solutions for online live streaming and video on demand .

Broadcasting
The BCE has its own infrastructure for radio transmission and data exchange, thus looks after a radio network and, as one of the three main service providers in Central Europe, also has a dominant position in the European market. The company operates six of its own broadcasting stations (one of which is an earth station, called a teleport) in Luxembourg and, thanks to its central location, reaches several Western European countries. Although the core business of BCE is services in Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Luxembourg, the service provider also has direct connections to intercontinental countries.
In addition, the BCE operates its own studio , a fleet of broadcast and production vehicles as well as infrastructure and employees in the area of direction and post-production .
IT & telecommunications
As a private, non-public Internet service provider (ISP), the BCE advertises its customers with its own network infrastructure and connections for streaming, data exchange and transmission and operates its own data center for this purpose .
Data storage and digitization
According to its own statements, the Broadcasting Center Europe is one of the largest European service providers for digitization , conversion and backup of media offers.
