The Brown Bay is a bay on the Budd Coast of the East Antarctic Wilke country . It is located northeast of the Casey Station built on the Bailey Peninsula .

Aerial photographs of the bay were taken during the US operation Highjump (1946–1947), during a Soviet Antarctic expedition in 1956 and at the same time as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions . The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) named it after Alan M. Brown, chief engineer of the Melbourne- based Antarctic Division and significantly involved in the planning and construction of the Casey station.
