Christian Furrer

Christian Furrer (* 1977 in Mainz ) is a German actor .

Life

Furrer comes from Gau-Bischofsheim near Mainz. He attended the Mainz drama school from 2000 to 2003 . During his training he performed at the State Theater in Mainz . After completing his training in 2003, Lars Albaum and Dietmar Jacobs signed him to the Contra-Kreis-Theater in Bonn for the tabloid play once not taken care of . With this piece he then made a guest appearance from 2003-2004 as part of a tour of Germany at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm in Berlin , the Theater am Dom in Cologne and the Theater an der Kö in Düsseldorf . He played the bike courier and hip-hopper Danny in the piece, alongside Jochen Busse and Heide Keller .

From 2004 until the end of the 2007/08 season he was a member of the ensemble of the Burghofbühne Dinslaken . He played there u. a. the following main stage roles: Lucio in Maß für Maß , Major Crampas in Effi Briest and the writer in Der Totmacher . He also appeared in several children's and youth plays; for example, he took on the title role in the fairy tale play The Brave Little Tailor . From 2009 to 2011 he performed at the Brothers Grimm Festival in Hanau . Since 2011 he has been playing again at the Burghofbühne Dinslaken.

Since 2007 Furrer has mainly worked for film and television. His cinema works include Das Haus der Krokodile (2012), Im Labyrinth des Schweigens (2014) and Ostwind 2 (2015). In the crime comedy Im Winter, so Schön (2015) he played the male lead, the petty criminal Erhard.

In the Cologne crime scene: The Reinhardt case (first broadcast: March 2014), he played Ralph Meins, the child's father , in a scene with Klaus J. Behrendt . In the television film Queen of the Night (first broadcast: February 2017), in which an organic farmer hires out as an escort lady, with Silke Bodenbender in the lead role, Furrer played the suitor Robert Weiler.

Furrer also took on roles in television series several times. In the television series Danni Lowinski , he played the security guard and single father Manni Goldmann in two episodes that premiered in May 2010. In the WDR television series Ein Fall für die Anrheiner (2011) he had a leading role in the episode; he played the attractive surfer Klaus Blume, the ex-boyfriend of the series character Elly and father of her daughter Emma. In November 2015 he was in three episodes of the series Everything that counts as Stefan Zodani. In the television series Phoenixsee (2016) he took on a continuous supporting role; he played the lawyer Dr. Merten Zellerhoff, who advises the series main character Birger Hansmann ( Stephan Kampwirth ) as an insolvency administrator.

In February 2017, Furrer was seen in the ZDF series Der Staatsanwalt in an episode role; he played Robert Strehle, the operator of a wind farm in the Taunus .

As an actor, Furrer was also seen in commercials (including for Perlweiss ). He lives in Cologne and Frankfurt am Main .
