The Brown Scarp is a narrow, wedge-shaped and 2,410 m high massif in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . The 2.5 km long formation stretches between the Palais Glacier and the Waddington Glacier . The northern slopes of the massif have a moderate gradient, while to the south it has a striking terrain.
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the massif in 1994 after Arthur J. Brown, from 1982 to 1990 deputy program director of ITT Antarctic Services Inc. , a company commissioned by the National Science Foundation for work in Antarctica .
