The Palais Glacier is a wide and 13 km long glacier in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It flows north between the Wilkniss Mountains and the Colwell Massif to the Ferrar Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names renamed it in 1995 after the US glaciologist Julie Michelle Palais (* 1956), which in five campaigns 1978-1989 at Dome Charlie and the Mount Erebus worked, since 1991, the glaciological program for polar regions of the National Science Foundation and has been a member of the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names since 1994.
