Bruno Andrade (racing driver)

Bruno Andrade (born February 6, 1991 in São Paulo ) is a former Brazilian racing driver . He took part in several Indy Lights races in 2011 .

Career

Andrade began his motorsport career in karting in 2004 , where he was active until 2008. Among other things, he won the KF2 São Paulo Championship in 2007 . 2009 Andrade joined the Formula racing and won the championship of Formula São Paulo. He also started in the South American Formula 3 championship and came third in the light class. 2010 Andrade competed for Cesário Fórmula in the South American Formula 3 championship. He won five races and was runner-up. Andrade was only barely defeated by Yann Cunha with 359 to 363 .

In 2011 , Andrade joined the Indy Lights mid-season . He took part in five races for Bryan Herta Autosport . His team-mate was Duarte Ferreira , who had already been his team-mate in the South American Formula 3. With a fourth place as the best result, he finished the season in 17th place in the championship.
