Bruno Braquehais

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bruno Braquehais (born January 28, 1823 in Dieppe ; † February 13, 1875 in La Celle-Saint-Cloud ) was an early French photographer who initially worked as a colorist for daguerreotypes . After marrying the daughter of the photographer Alexis Gouin, he took over his studio in 1864. He was probably active as a photographer between 1850 and 1874. During this time he is mentioned in the Almanach-Bottin, an address book for trade and industry. However, only recordings made before 1855 and after 1870 have survived.
