Bruno Gama (born November 15, 1987 in Vila Verde , own Bruno Alexandre Vilela Gama ) is a Portuguese football player .

Career

society

Gama was trained in the youth department of the Portuguese first division club Sporting Braga . At the age of 16 he made his debut in the professional team, which aroused the interest of other clubs. FC Porto signed him in the summer of 2004 .

There he could not prevail for the time being and completed a large part of his games in the second team of the league primus. In order to give him match practice in the top division, he was awarded to league competitors in the following years. First Gama returned to his youth club, then he came to almost 60 missions at Vitória Setúbal .

Still, he could not convince his qualities the club leadership in Porto and finally to the Portuguese in summer 2009 first division side FC Rio Ave sold. There he played in the starting line-up and played almost all competitive games in two seasons. His convincing performance also made foreign clubs aware of him, so that the Spanish first division club Deportivo La Coruña signed him in the summer of 2011 .

National team

For his home country, Gama took part in the U-17 European Championship in 2003 . On home soil he was able to win the competition by beating Spain 2-1 in the final. Less successful, he participated in the U-19 European Championship in 2006 and the U-20 World Championship in 2007 , where he was eliminated with Portugal in the group stage.

He was also appointed for the U-21 team in his country in autumn 2007.
