Bruno Herrmann (dialect poet)

Bruno Herrmann (born December 16, 1870 in Königswalde , † December 1, 1927 in Leipzig ) was a German dialect poet, councilor and mayor.

Herrmann came from the Ore Mountains and produced several dialect poems as a part-time job. One of his most famous works is the text for the song Dorten drubn sei mir derham . He served as mayor in Lößnitz and Lauter , among others . From 1915 until his death he was the chairman of the Erzgebirgsverkehr, a community association for increasing tourism in the Erzgebirge . In 1922 he consecrated the observation tower on the Morgenleithe . After his death in 1927, the Lauter Erzgebirgszweigverein , of which he was the first director until his death, published Herrmann's most important poems under the title Lauterer Spakörble .

Some of his songs, including Dr Zefriedene Kiehgung , were distributed on song postcards by Arthur Vogel .
