Bruno Loosen

Bruno Loosen (born September 22, 1922 ; † August 28, 2016 in Konz ) was a retired German lieutenant general . D. the Air Force . From 1976 to 1981 he was the commanding general of the Air Fleet Command .

Military career

From 1962 to 1968 Loosen was commodore of the reconnaissance squadron 51 “Immelmann” in Bremgarten , in 1969 he was promoted to brigadier general. He was promoted to major general from April 1, 1974 to December 1976, commander of the 3rd Air Force Division in Kalkar , was promoted to lieutenant general and took over the post of commanding general of the air force command from December 1976 to March 31, 1981 .

Trivia

In the air force Loosen was nicknamed "The beautiful Bruno", he was considered vain and "uncontrolled in dealing with subordinates".
