Bruno Marie Duffé

Bruno Marie Duffé (born August 21, 1951 in Lyon ) is a French Roman Catholic clergyman and secretary of the Dicastery for the Holistic Development of Man of the Roman Curia .

Life

Bruno Marie Duffé received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Lyon in June 1981 . After a brief activity in pastoral care, he became a lecturer in moral theology and the social doctrine of the Church at the theological faculty of the Catholic University of Lyon in 1982 . From 1985 to 2004 he was co-founder and director of the Institute for Human Rights at the same university. In 1996 he received his doctorate in legal philosophy and social ethics . From 2005 he was Professor of Social and Health Ethics at the Léon Bérard Regional Cancer Treatment Center in Lyon.

On June 16, 2017, Pope Francis appointed him Secretary of the Dicastery for the Holistic Development of Man .
