Bruno Marini

Bruno Marini (born May 18, 1958 in Verona ) is an Italian saxophonist and Hammond organ player.

Career

Marini is active in the field of classical music as well as in jazz and blues music. He participated in more than a hundred LP and CD recordings. As a classical musician, he played solo parts in compositions by Luciano Berio . As a jazz musician, he has mainly emerged on the baritone saxophone and has worked with Jack McDuff ( Jackpot ), Shirley Scott , Steve Lacy , Joe Lovano , Gary Bartz , Benny Golson , Sal Nistico , Paul Jeffrey , Nat Adderley , Kenny Burrell , Mal Waldron , Donald Garrett , Bobby Durham ( Blues for Me , Live at Ghedi Jazz Festival ), Albert Heath , Jimmy Carl Black ( Freedom Jazz Dance ), and others together. Gerry Hemingway invited him in 1987 to an all-star cast at the Bimhuis .
