Bruno Osuch

Bruno Osuch (born November 26, 1952 in Radmühl , Hesse ) is a German teacher and former president of the Berlin-Brandenburg Humanist Association .

Life

Bruno Osuch studied mathematics and social studies (history, politics, geography) for teaching at the University of Kassel from 1973 to 1978 . He then completed his legal clerkship in Kassel . After 1980 he worked at various comprehensive schools in Berlin. a. as head of the department for social studies and mathematics.

Since 1984 he has worked in various functions to develop the subject of humanistic life studies, including as a seminar leader, member of the scientific advisory board and parliamentary liaison to the Berlin House of Representatives .

Together with Gerald Betz and Werner Schultz, he drafted the framework plan for life science lessons in Berlin in 1993 .

In 2000 he received his doctorate with a thesis on the importance of Erich Fromm for teaching values using the example of life studies at the Technical University of Berlin . Since then he has also been a lecturer and examiner for this subject at the TU Berlin.

From 2001 to 2016 he was involved in the establishment and expansion of the state bilingual Nelson Mandela School , among other things as acting, deputy headmaster, department head and member of the school conference.

From 2016 to the beginning of 2019 he worked as a teacher and coordinator for the development of ethics classes at the German School Santiago de Chile as part of the German Schools Abroad.

Since May 2019 he has been an authorized representative on the board of the HVD Berlin-Brandenburg for contacts with the government, parliament, parties and associations.

He is the father of a daughter and a son and lives in his second marriage in Kleinmachnow near Berlin.

Bruno Osuch was initially a member of the DKP in the 1970s , and then briefly of SEW . Since 1990 he has been a member of the SPD , also a member of the GGG - non-profit society comprehensive school and the International Erich Fromm Society .
