Bruno Schröder (botanist)

Julius Ludwig Bruno Schröder (* 1867 in Wüstewaltersdorf ; † 1928 in Breslau ) was a German teacher, botanist and phycologist . His botanical author abbreviation is “ Schröd. "

Life

Bruno Schröder worked as a teacher, senior teacher and most recently as deputy principal in Breslau and lived at 88 Sadowastraße. He was with his 1901 dissertation submitted studies on gelatinous developments of the algae at the University of Heidelberg to the Dr. phil. nat. PhD .

His scientific focus was on the field of algae science , where he published numerous papers in this research area. In 1894 Bruno Schröder was able to report the first more comprehensive research results on high alpine algae.

He was a member of the Silesian Ornithologists Association and the German Botanical Society .

On June 14, 1920 Julius Ludwig Bruno Schröder was registered with the matriculation number. In 3442 elected member of the Leopoldina in the botany section .
