Bruno Thiebes

Bruno Thiebes (born February 3, 1906 in Oggersheim , † June 24, 1993 in Speyer ) was a German Roman Catholic prelate .

Life

Bruno Thiebes was ordained priest on June 29, 1930 in Speyer Cathedral and was chaplain in St. Ingbert. He was involved as an editor in the magazine Der Scharfeneck. Worksheet of Catholic Youth . In 1933 he was appointed cathedral chaplain and in 1936 cathedral vicar at Speyer Cathedral . In 1953 he was elected cathedral capital and Bishop Isidor Markus Emanuel appointed him director of the Episcopal Chamber of Finance. In 1974, the appointment was made to Domdekan by Friedrich Wetter . He was also the diocesan director of the Papal Missionary Society in Speyer .

From 1977 to 1986 he was Vice President of the Society for Middle Rhine Church History . In 1981 he was honored with the plaque of the Society for Middle Rhine Church History.

He was involved in numerous social projects and the Christians in the Holy Land . He was a member of the German Association of the Holy Land . In 1975 he was appointed Knight of the Papal Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Maximilien Cardinal de Fürstenberg and invested in Essen Cathedral on December 6, 1975 by Franz Hengsbach , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy . Most recently he was a commander (officer) of the Papal Lay Order.
