The Brunschwig Holding SA , based in Geneva, is a Swiss luxury - fashion house group . It operates a total of 25 shops in various cities, including the fashion houses Bongénie and Grieder as well as boutiques by Max Mara and Salvatore Ferragamo . In the fashion houses Bongénie and Grieder Brunschwig the group sold under one roof world brands for their own account. Only on Zurich's Bahnhofstrasse is Louis Vuitton rented its own compartment within the Griederhaus. The fourth generation family company employs around 800 people and in 2007 generated sales of 245 million Swiss francs.

history

The parent company was founded in 1891 by Adolph Brunschwig and was initially only active in western Switzerland under the name Bongénie . With the takeover of the traditional Zurich-based company Grieder in 1972, the Brunschwig family also expanded into German-speaking Switzerland . The Grieder fashion house was founded in 1889 by Adolf Grieder and was run as a family business for four generations and expanded until it was sold in 1972. Today the Brunschwig Group belongs to nine shareholders from three families, the descendants of the company founder.
