Brutal Polka describe themselves as a "Gore-Metal Boogie-Bluegrass Techno-Death Jive-Gospel Waltz-Fast Bossa -Band" because they cannot define their own style that precisely. Clear influences, however, are punk rock and ska .

history

The multicultural band, made up of German and Israeli members, was founded in 2004 by Kramer E. Frog. He had written several songs over the years, which he recorded and published on the debut "A tribute to mainstream" with the help of some guest musicians. Shortly after the first release, Caesar Gorgeous joined the band on drums and became the second permanent member of Brutal Polka alongside Kramer E. Frog. The line-ups on bass and guitars changed frequently. In late 2004 the first album was followed by the first Brutal Polka Tour in Israel. The concerts were mostly on a small scale (house parties, bars, etc.). In the summer of 2005 Brutal Polka toured Europe for the first time. The tour took place entirely on its own. You have performed in Germany, France, Spain and the Czech Republic. After they got back to Israel, IZ joined them. He convinced Kramer and Caesar with his guitar playing , which is characterized by heavy metal . The band's popularity also grew in Israel. They made a name for themselves as a spectacular live band. In 2006 the 2nd summer tour across Europe followed. The band took the offer of help from a booking agent from France who, however, had not actually booked any concerts that he "got" the band. So the boys sat on the street for four days and didn't know where to go. They ended up with a friend of Doubleboy's in Mannheim, where they spent the involuntary break in a confined space but with a roof over their heads. Doubleboy stopped by the commune every day and brought his buddy and the boys food. The conversation started and it was agreed that from now on Doubleboy would take care of the merchandise and subsequent CD productions, as he already had experience and better contacts than Brutal Polka through working with other bands. In the summer of 2007, Brutal Polka toured Europe for the third time, now with Zoltar the Wizzard on bass, and played their biggest festival gigs to date, such as B. Augustibuller in Sweden or Punk Island in Slovenia. Another tour of Germany followed in December of the same year, from now on with Doubleboy as the second guitarist. The following summer tour in 2008, with 45 concerts in 60 days, should be the longest tour that Brutal Polka has completed to date. The band's popularity grew enormously through appearances at festivals such as Force Attack , "Punk in the Ring", "Resist To Exist" or "Mach 1". During their stay in Germany, the guys quickly recorded their first EP "Politics Shmolitics", which was only released on green vinyl.
