Brutus is a Belgian band from Flemish Brabant whose style is assigned to Progressive Rock , Post-Hardcore and Math-Rock .
history
The members of Brutus got to know each other while playing in various bands in the Lions region . Stefanie (drums, vocals) and Peter (bass) played together in Refused Party Program , a refused tribute band. Stefanie also played with Stijn in the band "Starfucker".
In 2014 and 2015 Brutus played at various festivals such as Pukkelpop , Rock Herk and the Dour Festival . In 2016, the band recorded their first album in Vancouver in collaboration with Jesse Gander. Her debut, titled Burst , was released in 2016 on Hassle Records (EU) and Sargent House (USA and International). The second album, entitled Nest , was released in 2019.
