Bryant Clifford "Cliff" Meyer (* in Cleveland , Ohio, USA ) is an American musician. He is a founding member of the post-rock band Red Sparowes and is a member of the bands Palms and Windmills By The Ocean. He was also a member of the Isis band until it was dissolved. He also publishes solo under the pseudonym Taiga .

biography

Meyer learned piano and saxophone from the sixth grade. It was only later - at the age of 17 - that he discovered the guitar as an instrument for himself. In 1994 he and two other guitarists founded the band The Gersch, which did not use bass, but tuned the three guitars lower. The unusual sound of The Gersch was said to make Kyuss sound like Motörhead . Since the 2000 album "Celestial" Meyer was a member of the band Isis, where he replaced the guitarist Jay Randall who had dropped out. There he not only played guitar, but also dealt with electronics and synthesizers. In 2003 he founded the band Red Sparowes with his Isis colleague Jeff Caxide. He also played an album with musician friends in the same year under the band name Windmills By The Ocean, which was released in 2006.
