Bryant Reeves (born June 8, 1973 in Fort Smith , Arkansas ) is a retired American basketball player .
NBA
Reeves was selected in the 1995 NBA Draft by the newly formed Vancouver Grizzlies in 6th place. He played for the Canadian franchise for a total of six years . His best season was 1997/98 when he scored 16.3 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game. After that the 132 kg Reeves had to struggle with weight and injury problems again and again, so that his performance deteriorated more and more. In his final season for the Grizzlies, he scored 8.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. After the Grizzlies moved from Vancouver to Memphis , Reeves did not play a game for the Grizzlies and announced his retirement during the 2001/02 season .
