The Bubu is a seasonal river in central Tanzania in the Dodoma region near the border with the Singida region .

It rises in the Manyara region on Mt Hanang at an altitude of 2,180 m. The catchment area of the river is 12,661 km². It flows into the Bahi Swamp (also Sulunga Sea) about 50 km west of the capital Dodoma in the endorheic Bahi Depression .
Hydrometry
The flow rate of the river was measured over 24 years (1960–1984) in Bahi , a city in Tanzania, about 7 kilometers upstream from the confluence with Sulunha Lake. The mean annual flow rate observed in Bahi was 5 m³ / s during this period.
