The boxwood-like (Buxales) are an order within the flowering plants (Magnoliopsida). They occupy a basal position within the eudicotyledons .
description
They are woody or herbaceous plants . The leaves are entire. The flowers are unisexual, the species either monoecious ( monocyte ) or dioecious ( diocyte ) separately sexed. Otherwise the group is quite heterogeneous.
