The Buchsee is a lake in the Tyrolean district of Kufstein north of the municipality of Kramsach .
location
It lies at the foot of the Voldöppberg next to the Krummsee and is fed by it. It is 450 meters long and 100 meters at its widest point. It used to be used as a bathing lake, but is rarely used as such today. It is only popular with ice skaters and stick shooters in winter.
The overflow of the lake is in the west and from there the Seebachl flows westwards and flows into the Brandenberger Ache .
nature
In 1923, the lake, surrounded by meadows and forest, was described as a body of water at a maximum depth of one meter, 550 meters above sea level, with a muddy bottom and thick reeds and water lilies. Also because of its stock of water lilies , it is under strict nature protection .
