The Buennagel Peak is a 672 m high and rocky mountain in the west Antarctic Marie-Byrd-Land . It rises 1.5 km east of Alexander Peak in the northern part of the Haines Mountains in the Ford Ranges .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1970 after Lawrence Albert Buennagel (* 1942), geomagnetologist and seismologist at Byrd Station in 1968.
