The Bulloo Developmental Road is a trunk road in the southwest of the Australian state of Queensland . It runs in a west-east direction and has a length of 319 km. It is the continuation of the Balonne Highway to the west and connects the Mitchell Highway in Cunnamulla with the Wilson River near Nockatunga . The road is also known as the Adventure Way along its entire length . The Adventure Way continues from the end of Bulloo Developmental Road westward across the state line to South Australia .

The Bulloo Developmental Road leaves Cunnamulla to the west and successively crosses the Paroo River , Bulloo River and Wilson River .
After overcoming the Gray Range , the road ends on the northwest bank of the Wilson River at the junction to Nockatunga .
The highest point on the highway is at 218 m, the lowest at 95 m.
