service.bund.de is a web-based portal of the German Federal Administration operated by the Federal Office of Administration.

Created as a basic component of the federal government's e-government initiative " BundOnline 2005 ", it has been accompanying the expansion of the federal government's online administrative services and the realignment of the federal administration in the information age since March 2001. As an entry point on the Internet, the portal opens up the offers of the federal government for citizens, business and administration. It leads its users directly to job offers and advertisements from federal authorities and institutions and other public institutions from federal states, cities, municipalities and municipalities.

background

The directory of authorities provides an overview of the authorities and institutions of the federal government, including institutions that are funded by the federal government through donations or the provision of foundation capital and other institutions that are close to the authorities or the state due to their function or task. However, an entry in this directory is not synonymous with the status of an authority.

With the migration to the Government Site Builder (GSB) 4.0 , the basic component of the e-government initiative “BundOnline 2005” in the content management system area , in January 2009 the portal received a new design and an improved structure. This enabled the portal's offers to be made particularly clear and accessible even faster thanks to the convenient search functions.

New is including the ability to RSS - web feeds to subscribe for the offers of jobs and tenders, as well as to display on the integration of Google Maps, the geographical location of an authority, a job offer or a tender on a map.

The portal is also a federal contribution to the national e-government strategy Deutschland-Online , which advocates an integrated e-government offering at all administrative levels. The federal, state and local governments have formed several working groups to implement the related projects. The Federal Office of Administration and the Federal Office for Information Technology participate in these working groups.

The portal has had a revised look since December 16, 2014 and was simultaneously updated to version 6.0 of the Government Site Builder.
