Federal working group of cooperation centers

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Federal Working Group of Cooperation Centers (BAG) brings together cooperation centers for universities and trade unions . These are university institutions that were founded on the basis of a cooperation agreement between the union and the university.

background

The federal working group administers several cooperation centers for universities and trade unions. Such cooperation centers have existed in the Federal Republic of Germany since the 1970s. In the university area, they act as a point of contact for trade unions, works and staff councils as well as for employees. In doing so, they have a bridging function between science and the world of work, as they convey work-oriented issues to science and, conversely, transfer the results of science into the world of work. The cooperation centers serve to establish contacts between the academic university members and the staff and works councils of the unions or with the employees.

Areas of responsibility and objectives

The BAG comprises an association of around 20 cooperation centers and serves the content-related, organizational and political exchange as well as the cooperation and the further development of the cooperation concept. For example, it sits down with the Hans Böckler Foundation (HBS) to discuss current developments and develop joint projects.
