Remscheid Bundestag constituency
The Bundestag constituency of Remscheid was a constituency in North Rhine-Westphalia from 1965 to 1980 . It was set up for the 1965 federal election as an additional constituency in North Rhine-Westphalia, had constituency number 68 and included the independent city of Remscheid and the eastern part of the Rhein-Wupper district with Hückeswagen , Radevormwald and Wermelskirchen . In 1980 Remscheid came to the constituency of Solingen - Remscheid and Wermelskirchen to the constituency of Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis . Hückeswagen and Radevormwald came to the constituency of Oberbergischer Kreis . The last directly elected constituency member was Gerhard Braun ( CDU ).
