Constituency history

The constituency of the Bergisches Land has been fundamentally changed several times in the past. Between 1965 and 1980, in addition to the Bundestag constituency of Solingen, there was also a separate Bundestag constituency of Remscheid , which included Remscheid and the eastern part of the former Rhein-Wupper district . The Wuppertal districts have only been part of the constituency since 2002. For the 2013 federal election, the constituency number was changed from 104 to 103.
