Bungaro (* 23. May 1964 in Brindisi as Antonio Calò ) is an Italian singer-songwriter .

Career

Initially working as a songwriter for other performers, Bungaro made his debut in 1988 at the Sanremo Festival (newcomer category) with the song Sarò forte , which was followed by the album Sulla punta della lingua . In 1991 he presented the song E noi qui in Sanremo with Marco Conidi and Rosario Di Bella (again in the newcomer category) , followed by the album Cantare fa più bene ; In 1992 Ci perdiamo in tanti followed . For the album Tutto d'un fiato he was awarded the Premio Rino Gaetano . After that, Bungaro concentrated on his work as a songwriter for a long time; several of his songs also entered the race in Sanremo. After another participation in the Sanremo Festival , the album L'attesa was released in 2004 .

For Arte (2010), Bungaro a. a. with Fiorella Mannoia . In 2012 he published songs on Il valore del momento that he had originally written for other artists. At the Sanremo Festival 2018 he started alongside Ornella Vanoni and Pacifico ; with the song Imparare ad amarsi they reached fifth place and were awarded the special prize dedicated to Sergio Endrigo for the best interpretation.
