Burak Çalık (born February 5, 1989 in Erzincan ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

society

Çalık started playing club football in the youth of Erzincanspor . In the summer of 2006 he received a professional contract here, but continued to play one season exclusively for the reserve team. In his second season he fought for a regular place in the professional team.

For the 2008/09 season he moved to the second division Altay Izmir . Here he made his breakthrough straight away. With eleven league goals, he was the most accurate player on his team. In addition, he scored two goals in the city derby against Karşıyaka SK and played himself into the hearts of the fans. Both in his first season and in his second season at Altay, he and his team only missed promotion to the Süper Lig in the relegation phase . The third season he scored only two goals in 24 league encounters. After Altay İzmir failed to stay up in the 2010/11 season, Çalık left the club.

For the new season he moved to the Süper Lig promoted Samsunspor . Here he did not get beyond a reservist existence, so he spent the second half of the season on loan from the second division side Adanaspor . With this club he made it to the playoff final of the TFF 1st Lig in the 2011/12 season . In the final they lost to Kasımpaşa Istanbul 2: 3 in extra time and thus missed promotion to the Süper Lig only in the last encounter.

For the 2012/13 season he returned to the meanwhile in the TFF 1. Lig to the relegated Samsunspor and played here half a season. For the second half of the season he moved to Adanaspor and signed a two and a half year contract here.

For Adanaspor, Çalık scored four goals in 28 games. For the 2013/14 season moved to the promoted Balıkesirspor . With this club he was runner-up in the TFF 1st Lig at the end of the season and was promoted to the Süper Lig .

After Balıkesirspor missed relegation in the summer of 2015, Çalık moved to the second division Adana Demirspor . For the 2016/17 season, Çalık and his teammate Abdulkadir Özgen were signed by league rivals Balıkesirspor .

After two years, 52 appearances in the second division and 13 goals, he moved to league rivals Denizlispor . With Denizlispor he was able to celebrate the championship of the TFF 1st Lig 2018/19 and the promotion to the Süper Lig.

At the age of 20, Çalık played six times for the Turkish U-21 national team .
