The Benauge Castle in Arbis , a district of the French commune of Porte-de-Benauge in the Gironde department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , was built in the 13th to 14th centuries. In 1995 the hilltop castle was added to the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique .

The hilltop hilltop castle that was the center of the Vice- County of Benauge was rebuilt in the 17th and 18th centuries.

The castle complex with moat , strong walling and a donjon is one of the most powerful castles in the region. Only a few remains of the castle chapel have survived.
