The castle Erpfingen is an Outbound castle in the village Erpfingen, a municipality part of the community Sonnenbühl in the district of Reutlingen ( Baden-Württemberg ).
The castle, which cannot be precisely located, was owned by the Schenken von Erpfingen , was sold in 1347 by Burkhard Schenk von Erpfingen for 400 pounds Heller to Count Heinrich and Eberhard von Werdenberg and in 1450 came to the Count of Württemberg . After 1450 the castle was used as a rectory. In 1864 the rectory was demolished, the tower blown up and the rock of the local castle blown away.
