The castle Hohenhundersingen is the ruin of a rock castle on a cliff above the Lautertal the district Hundersingen the town of Münsingen in the district of Reutlingen in Baden-Württemberg .

The castle ruins are located on a steep slope at 675 m above sea level. NN high rock spur. It can be reached on signposted hiking trails from Hundersingen im Lautertal (Große Lauter) and is freely accessible.
history
The rock castle was built by the von Hundersingen family around 1100, first mentioned in 1237 and destroyed in 1530. Further owners since 1352 were Württemberg and the lords of Bichishausen.
Of the former castle complex, the keep with its humpback ashlar masonry and the remains of a bailey with enclosing walls can still be seen. The complex is secured against the mountain by a ditch.
