Attractions

In the northeast of Burghöchstadt rises high above the place, surrounded by a stone wall, the St. George Chapel . A chapel was mentioned as early as 1336. However, since the gallery and baptismal font are dated to the first half of the 17th century, the current chapel was probably built around 1600. The chancel closes on three sides, the wooden altar structure is said to date from 1704. To the east there is an eight-sided, sheet-metal bell tower with a retracted onion dome on a profiled wooden eaves, pommel and weather valve.
