Burkhart Beyerle (born June 4, 1930 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German visual artist , he lives in Konstanz on Lake Constance.

Life

Burkhart Beyerle is the son of the legal historian Franz Beyerle . He attended schools in Kirchzarten and Freiburg. From 1949 to 1951 he studied architecture in Aachen, added an apprenticeship as a carpenter and completed his studies in Munich from 1953 to 1956. From 1956 to 1993 he was employed by the university building authorities of Freiburg and Konstanz.

In 1962 and 1963 there was a meeting with Joseph Beuys , who established the connection to Hans van der Grinten and Franz Joseph van der Grinten . In 1964 the van der Grinten brothers started the first series of exhibitions with works by Beyerle in Kranenburg on the Lower Rhine. With the van der Grintens, a large number of Beyerle's works later came to Moyland Castle on the Lower Rhine. The 2020 exhibition also took place there together with Werner Haypeter, Herbert Egl and Thomas Müller. He had numerous other exhibitions, including in Zurich, Konstanz, Singen, Reutlingen and Friedrichshafen.

Burkhart Beyerle is one of the artists in the graphic collection of the Folkwang Museum in Essen.
