Burt topper

Burt Topper (born July 31, 1928 in Brooklyn , New York City , New York , USA ; † April 3, 2007 in Los Angeles , California , USA) was an American film producer , film director , screenwriter and film actor .

Life

Burt Topper moved to Los Angeles with his parents when he was 8 years old. During World War II , he served in the United States Navy in the Philippines . He came to the big cinema at the age of 30 and made his directorial debut there in 1958 with Hell Squad . He made films for Sam Arkoff at American International Pictures. He became known for the low-budget cult films Rebels in Lederjacken (1967) and Wild in den Straßen (1968), which are set in the youth milieu of the 1960s and whose target group they were tailored to.

Topper was also named as Burton Topper and B. Zarkoff in the credits .

Burt Topper died of heart failure at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles at the age of 78. He left behind his wife Jennifer and his sister. His final resting place is in the Mount Sinai Memorial Park in Los Angeles.
