The Burton Rocks are a small group of three reef rocks off the Fallières coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . They are located 1.5 km south of Neny Island in Marguerite Bay .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) carried out their survey in 1947. It is named after the icebreaker USS Burton Island , which was used in 1948 as part of Operation Windmill (1947-1948) to pick up the crews of the FIDS and the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947-1948) from Stonington Island .
