Horst Strunden

Horst Strunden (born November 19, 1890 in Bergisch Gladbach , † February 17, 1973 in Schmallenberg ) was a German administrative lawyer and district administrator of the Steinfurt and Borken districts .

Life

Horst Strunden studied law at the universities of Heidelberg , Berlin , Münster and Munich . During his studies he became a member of the K.St.V. Tuiskonia Münster , K.St.V. Palatia Heidelberg , K.St.V. Saxonia Munich , K.St.V. Guestphalia Berlin and K.St.V. Semnonia Berlin in the cartel association . and became a court assessor in 1920. In the Labor Ministry , he most recently served as Councilor active and changed in 1926 as a government to police headquarters Berlin . Appointed to the Prussian Ministry of the Interior in December 1926 , he moved to the Prussian State Ministry , where he last worked as a ministerial advisor. After a short temporary retirement, he was appointed provisional district administrator of the Steinfurt district on April 11, 1933. He held this office until his transfer to the Potsdam government on March 28, 1934. Until September 1945 he worked here as a ministerial advisor. From January to April 1946, he was head of the district Borken and was here after the reconstruction of the administration by the British military government in April 1946 Oberkreisdirektor . He held the office of senior director of the Steinfurt district from November 28, 1947 until he retired on November 30, 1955.

Horst Strunden was co-founder of the NRW district council in 1946 and also its chairman.
