Alfons Schmeink

Alfons Schmeink (born January 25, 1923 in Bocholt - Holtwick ) is a former German local politician and honorary district administrator ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school , he completed a commercial apprenticeship and worked as a self-employed businessman . He was the owner of several car dealerships. Schmeink is married and has seven children.

He belonged to the district council of the Borken district from 1969 until the regional reform on December 31, 1974 and then to the larger district until 1989. From November 28, 1969 to December 31, 1974 he was district administrator for the Borken district. He was a member of the Holtwick Parish Council from 1952 to 1966. At times he was deputy mayor . Schmeink was represented in numerous CDU party committees.

Schmeink was active in various committees of the district council of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Others

On August 25, 1967 Schmeink was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon, and on February 15, 1991 the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class.
