The bus Berlin (BVB) is a specialized in coach hire companies in Berlin . The state-owned Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) hold a minority stake of 25.1% in BVB. The company owns more than 100 coaches, sightseeing and regular buses. BVB has over 200 employees, making it the largest private bus company in Berlin and Brandenburg .

history

The foundation is dated January 2, 1969. At that time the bus company Kastner , the Bavarian travel agency Berlin and the bus company Der Berliner bought the long-standing bus company Weinrich . Since then, BVB KG has been offering company trips and renting out coaches.

The subsidiary Freizeitreisen was founded in 1974 by the shareholders of BVB. At this time, day trips and short trips as well as the first vacation trips were offered. From this a service provider has developed with a growing range of bus, plane, car and boat trips. The tour operator Weichert-Reisen GmbH & Co. Rundreise-Touristik KG , founded in the 1950s, has also been part of the corporate group since 1998 . Both companies have been based in Berlin since they were founded. Today these subsidiaries operate under the name BVB-Touristik .

The company maintains buses for sightseeing tours in Berlin and ran regular long-distance bus services between Berlin and the Bavarian Forest from 1985 (at that time still in GDR transit traffic) to 2014 within the BerlinLinienBus network .

BVB headquarters

The headquarters of BVB Berlin is at Grenzallee 15 in Berlin Neukölln. At the depot there is an in-house specialist workshop, a washing facility for buses and its own gas station.
