buten un inside is a television program produced by the public broadcaster Radio Bremen . It is the regional and local magazine for the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen ( Bremen and Bremerhaven ).
history
The program was developed in 1980 by Ulrich Kienzle, then Head of Radio Bremen TV, as a daily format. The first program was broadcast on September 1, 1980, in the first two months still under the name of "Bremen Reports". The casual and provocative style of the presenters Christian Berg and Michael Geyer brought a breath of fresh air into the television landscape and has won several awards. In the beginning, they also presented “Bremen aktuell”, the first news program from buten un binnen.
In 2003 and 2004, buten presented a music video at the end of the last broadcast of the week on a regionally current topic, composed, written and performed by the native Bremen artist Mark Scheibe .
In August 2013, an updated concept of the program was presented and broadcast for the first time on September 1, 2013.
The aim is to strengthen the buten brand within . However, this concentration was at the expense of almost all of Radio Bremen's other own programs. So fell u. a. the animal consignment animal shop and the northerners away. The latter magazine was a program that looked outside the box in Bremen reporting to Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Hamburg.
Buten un binnen's editor-in-chief has been Guido Schulenberg since February 15, 2011, and he was followed by Frank Schulte in April 2014.
Broadcast content
buten un binnen provides daily information about political, social and cultural life in and around Bremen, Bremerhaven and the Unterweser region . Since September 2013 buten has been running every day at 7.30 p.m. as a half-hour magazine broadcast and as a repeat the following day at 10.30 a.m. on Radio Bremen TV . It will also be broadcast as a repeat on NDR television . In advance, there is a six-minute compact edition on weekdays at 6:00 p.m. but no later than 6:00 a.m. with a summary of the most important events of the day and a preview of the main topics.
The transmission scheme of the main program includes u. a. the sections " Sportblitz " and "Weather" as well as series of several years such as "Herd Visits" or "Who Knows Whom", thematic weekly series such as "Industry Check", "Village Visits" or "Where Bremen is Poor" and the series contributions "Time Travel" and "1000 masterpieces".

Moderators and reporters of the sports programs are currently Jan-Dirk Bruns, Pascale Ciesla, Stephan Schiffner, Jenny Stadelmann, Janna Betten and Ludwig Evertz, who has also been the editor-in-chief since 2012. Andree Pfitzner , Constanze Hosfeld-Seedorf , Anastasia Hill, Jessica Liedke and Katja Runge will moderate the daily weather report .
Name of the shipment
buten un inside is Low German and roughly means “outside and inside”; the show reports on Bremen (“inside”) and the surrounding area (“buten”). Its title takes up the motto of the Bremen merchants, coined by Otto Gildemeister , and affixed to the Schütting portal in 1899 : buten un inside - dare un win (outside and inside - dare and win). At the start of regional television in the autumn of 1980, this name proposal was submitted by a viewer.

The title melody is an alienated version of Bach's Jesus remains my joy ( cantata 147 ).
