The sportblitz is the sports television program of Radio Bremen , the smallest state broadcaster of the ARD . It is broadcast on working days at 6:06 p.m. (until September 2013 at 7:15 p.m.), which is unique in terms of frequency in the ARD media landscape. The concept was developed in 1990 by Jörg Wontorra , the station's sports director at the time. In terms of content, the program covers the sporting events in Bremen and Bremerhaven - an interview guest is usually invited.
After a year of planning, the program was restructured and on September 1, 2013 received new broadcast times and a new studio.
