The Buzfuz rock is a rock off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . In the group of Pitt Islands belonging to the Biscoe Islands archipelago , it is 2.5 km west of Snubbin Island .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the rock in 1971 after Sergeant Buzfuz, a character from the serial novel The Pickwickier (1836-1837) by the British writer Charles Dickens .
