history

The authority responsible for local rail passenger transport in Baden-Württemberg is the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. The NVBW was founded as a result of the Regionalization Act 1996 and is owned by the state.

The information campaign 3-Löwen-Takt was started in 1999. The name refers to the coat of arms of Baden-Württemberg .

On October 19, 2017, the new brand replaced the three-lions cycle . The five-year campaign costs 16.3 million euros. Of this, 5 million euros will be made available to the railway companies for marketing. The amount, which corresponds to one cent per ticket sold during this period, is mainly financed from regionalization funds. During this period, the country expects income from ticket sales of 800 million euros and pays 1.8 billion euros for transport services. According to the NVBW, the old brand was known to half of the country's population. A quality offensive should also go hand in hand with the new brand. These include more journeys, new routes and modern trains with WiFi and air conditioning

implementation

The campaign to introduce the mobility initiative runs from April 1, 2017 to December 31, 2021. The official start date was October 19, 2017 with the presentation of the new umbrella brand bwegt . The presentation took place during a press conference with Baden-Württemberg's Minister of Transport, Winfried Hermann .

In December 2017 the SPNV network 3b was introduced on the Gäubahn and Murrbahn . The Gäu and Murrbahn route runs from Crailsheim via Schwäbisch Hall- Hessental and Stuttgart to Freudenstadt / Konstanz . The new Talent 2 vehicles are running on these lines for the first time and come from the vehicle manufacturer Bombardier . Almost all vehicles should have the new logo by 2023.

criticism

Some commuters criticized the fact that the seats in the trains of the newly acquired Bombardier Talent 2 series were too hard and that the train was relatively often delayed. In addition, too much legroom results in fewer seats.
