The Hualong travel agency was founded in Hamburg in 1993 as a forerunner of today's CAISSA Touristic (Group) AG. In the beginning, mainly the Chinese companies and firms in Hamburg were looked after. Since there was now unlimited travel in China, the country offered numerous new travel options. In 1997 the first German tour group traveled to China with CAISSA Touristic. The first China Travel Catalog was published in 2000 and contained a small range of round trips and city trips and some follow-up programs.

In 1999, the China Education & Training Center (CETC) was founded in cooperation with the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce and the Hamburg Economic Development Corporation, where seminar trips for delegations from politics and business have been carried out since then. The three-week seminar trips mostly lead through the largest German cities and the seminar program is provided by institutions, authorities, universities and companies. Together with cooperation partners from politics and business, both the seminars and all other tourist services are organized in the CETC. In the meantime, around 6,000 participants have received further training on specialist topics in around 500 training courses.

In 2003, Chen Mang, the company's founder and managing director, founded the Chinese-language monthly newspaper "Europe Business & Lifestyle", the predecessor of today's Europe Times . With a circulation of 95,000, the monthly newspaper is now the largest private Chinese newspaper in Europe and is aimed at Chinese who live and work in Europe, Chinese businessmen and trade fair visitors, students and tourists. The newspaper conveys news from Europe and the world to Chinese readers in Europe.

In the same year, the “Training Institute for Chinese speaking tour guides in Europe” was set up to meet the growing demand for Chinese-speaking tour guides in Europe. With the conclusion of the ADS agreement in 2004, the Chinese were able to travel to the Schengen area without restrictions for the first time and only have to apply for a visa for one of the Schengen countries . In the institute, 200 tour guides are prepared for their work every year and learn about European history, religion, art and cultural history in various courses.

Divisions

Company service

The oldest branch of CAISSA Touristic is the flight and business travel sector. After the founding of the Hualong travel agency in 1993, airline tickets to China were primarily sold to Chinese customers. At that time, CAISSA was the first Chinese-speaking travel service for Chinese and Chinese companies in Hamburg. This area was further expanded so that the company can now offer a German and Chinese-speaking company service. The offer has also been increased in recent years to include worldwide flight offers at special price conditions, train tickets, rental cars, hotels and visa service for German and Chinese business people.

Incoming

The incoming sector is CAISSA Touristic's most important line of business. 100,000 Chinese travel to Europe with Caissa Touristic every year.
