The CFL's Most Outstanding Defensive Player Award is an award for the best defense player in the Canadian Football League (CFL). As with every award from the CFL, a player is nominated for each division, from which one is then chosen as the league-wide winner. All head coaches of the CFL and representatives of the Football Writers of Canada are entitled to vote .
