The locomotives 1–10 , 11–54 and 291–300 of the Compagnie des Chemins de fer Orientaux (CFO, German  Orientbahn ) were mostly identically constructed C-couplers without running axles which were delivered to the CFO between 1871 and 1875.

history

CFO 1-10

Locomotives 1-10 were delivered in 1871 by the Wiener Neustadt locomotive factory. They corresponded to the then widespread three-coupler without running axles typical of many railways in Austria-Hungary , similar to the SB old 23 or kkStB 50 series .

CFO 11-54

The locomotives 11–54 were supplied by Hanomag to the CFO between 1871 and 1875 ; they were largely identical to the locomotives built in Wiener Neustadt. When the CFO was nationalized in 1937, eight locomotives came to the TCDD , which they classified as 33,501–508 . At the TCDD they were mainly used as shunting locomotives. They had an external frame , Hall cranks and internal controls .

They were used for over 100 years, the last examples were in shunting service in Uzunköprü , Çerkezköy and Halkalı in the European part of Turkey until about 1973 . After being taken out of service , the 33,508 was installed in front of the former repair shop in Sivas as a monument locomotive .

CFO 291-300

The locomotives 291–300 were identical to the locomotives 11–54 and were supplied by Hanomag between 1871 and 1875 . The separate numbering was probably made for use on the Russe – Varna railway line .

In 1929 the two locomotives 291 and 300 came to the Compagnie de Chemin de fer Franco-Hellenique (CFFH), where they kept the CFO number. When this was nationalized in 1955, the Greek State Railways (SEK) classified it as the series Δβ ( Delta - beta ) with the numbers 61 and 62 with a second line-up. According to other sources, the number 291 was already taken out of service at that time and only the number 300 was adopted as the series Δγ (delta gamma ) while retaining the serial number .
