The CINCPAC Fleet Headquarters , full name Commander in Chief Pacific Fleet Headquarters , at Pearl Harbor Naval Base in Hawaii are a building of military historical importance.

From early 1942 to January 1945 they were the headquarters of Chester W. Nimitz , who a few days after the attack on Pearl Harbor became the new Commander in Chief of the American Pacific Fleet . During the Second World War , from 1942 until the surrender of Japan, Nimitz was also subordinate to all allied sea, land and air forces in the Pacific Ocean Areas (POA), which encompasses most of the Pacific . In January 1945 Nimitz moved the CINCPAC Fleet Headquarters to Guam to be closer to the war.

Since May 28, 1987, the CINCPAC Fleet Headquarters are a National Historic Landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places . The building is open to visitors.
